Homestead 1835 is the perfect getaway for two guests but can accommodate up to six guests, comfortably. Experience all of the historic charm of a pre-civil war home without skimping on any of the amenities. Original red oak flooring and barn beams take you back in time while the brand new over-sized clawfoot tub, and granite counter tops, offer comfort and style. Somehow, being here is like living a secret. Welcome to Homestead 1835. We'd love to share our beauty and our history with you. The calendar has recently just been opened back up for bookings. Situated on two acres on a quiet county road, the house boasts a wrap-around front porch with comfortable seating for watching deer, wild turkey, fox, and other native wildlife. After grilling out on the charcoal grill, a camp fire on the back of the property is the perfect place to star gaze. Three private bedrooms, two full baths (tub downstairs , shower upstairs in master ), a fully stocked eat-in kitchen, and a spacious living room with big screen t.v. provide plenty of gathering space and privacy when it's time to turn in. Corn for feeding the deer will be provided. They will regularly show up to the property looking for snacks. Feeding the deer is completely optional but it is a surprisingly relaxing activity. Guests will have access to the house, front and back yard, as well as access to the fire pit . Our family has been offering short term rentals for nearly 30 years.
