The 14-acre property is very quiet, and was a goat farm (Bish Farms) for several decades before coming under new ownership in 2020. Though we no longer have goats, some remnants of the farm still remain and we've been working to repurpose or re-use what we can. You might see us working around the property during your visit.

The back of the property is densely wooded and bordered by a creek. The apartment building was once a barn that housed goats in the basement, had a woodworking shop on the ground floor, and a kitchen to process goat cheese upstairs. We converted the workshop to an apartment and other renovations were completed in 2021.

It has all the amenities necessary for a relaxing stay in a modern apartment that once was a barn - HVAC, tankless hot water heater, reliable WiFi, docking stations with dual monitors, washer/dryer, and a fully stocked kitchen.

The open living area is spacious and flows into a larger kitchen which is ideal for family meals or snacks after a day of exploring. Unwind on the wraparound deck, where you can often spot a family of deer wandering by. Since there is little light pollution, it's great for stargazing.

The bedroom area features a plush queen-sized bed, toddler bed (can covert to a baby crib), and there's a twin bed inside a former walk-in closet. You'll find an array of toys and books to accommodate little ones, and a smart TV if you just need to relax with your favorite show.

Your privacy is respected. We reside in the blue farmhouse at the end of your driveway, though you might see us working on projects around the property. We enjoy hosting, meeting our guest, and sharing local recommendations, but we'll leave you alone unless you want to say hello.
Guest access
Guests will have complete access to their uptairs apartment. There may be a tenant downstairs, so we kindly ask that you be mindful of any noise that might travel through the floor. There is a buffer separating the floor from the ceiling below.

We added a spacious living area that flows into a fully stocked kitchen which is ideal for family meals or snacks after a day of exploring. Unwind on the patio, where you can often spot a family of deer wandering by.

The master bedroom features a plush king-sized bed, and the second bedroom boasts a twin-over-full bunk bed. You'll find an array of toys, books, childproof outlets, and a travel crib to accommodate little ones.

Your privacy is respected while we reside in the blue farmhouse at the end of your driveway, though you might see us working on projects around the property. We enjoy hosting and meeting our guests, but we'll leave you alone unless you want to say hello.

Feel free to explore the grounds, stroll up and down the driveway, or hike to the Scatter Ridge connector trail, which leads to Stroud's Run State Park and the playgrounds, beach, boat launch, and trail system. Please refrain from wandering into our private woods, as construction on the trail is incomplete at the moment. Enjoy your stay!
