We went for a family Birthday getaway for my sister in law. We loved the cabin and how close we were to the other trails and town if we needed anything. We will definitely be going back in the future and would 100% recommend to anyone who plans on the staying. The staff was polite and helpful if we needed anything before and during our stay.
Was very clean. Had all of the kitchen necessities. Hot tub was clean.
This place was quiet and peaceful. The game room kept us occupied for hours and the balcony was perfect for grilling while hanging with your family. The front door handle isn�t locking properly but besides that, INCREDIBLY AMAZING PLACE.

The house was beautiful however there were a few things I suggest be fixed. The beds are loud, upstairs bathroom light was flickering and the hot tub jets didn�t work. Everything else was perfect! They provide all the kitchen utensils you need for a great weekend. There�s a lot of hills and gravel getting to the cabin, so trucks/vans are recommended! Side note: the pictures advertised 5 beds but it�s only 4 & one of the beds are not in an individual room but this wasn�t an issue for us.
activities were reasonable distance and cabin was nice and secluded. i do want to mention i picked up several beer cans and water bottles off of deck . didn�t want you to think we littered.
Secluded and could just relax and didn't have to leave was able to have food delivered had trails if you wanted to do some hiking. Just overall a great experience
Great customer service. The hot tub was not cleaned I called them and within an hour the hot tub was ready for use ( and this was on a Saturday!).
We loved the cabin feel and the trails to the pond was an added bonus. The cleaning could have been better, we found a bottle of juice and a couple bottle caps that didn�t get thrown away and someone�s sock was laying in the yard. The hot tub and the games/pool table could use some TLC. The jets weren�t powerful at all even after closing half of them. There was only one pool stick that wasn�t missing the tip so we had to keep passing the one back and forth. Overall it was fun and relaxing.
The convenience of being close to restaurants and we had a great time hiking and exploring the hocking hills area!! Got to see some deer..a few owls..only thing we could complain about is being able to figure out the screaming at 3am..was it a owl or big foot?? Yet to be determined!
Nice cabin for a little weekend getaway.
had a very nice stay as Cabin was clean and accessible for my handicapped son. Fire pit was great at night and hot tub was welcome on cool day. Only had a couple of concerns--1)you advertise that you have Dish network however our cabin did not have any ESPN channels available on it--disappointing to those who hike all morning and want to watch college football in the afternoon. Pay the extra cost and have happy renters 2)gas fireplace only worked for a couple of minutes and then went out
The Rusty Lantern was overall clean and comfortable. It is tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for a short stay with our family of 4.
I wanted to surprise my wife with a great weekend getaway for her 50th birthday. I have never stayed at Hocking Hills before but I know plenty of people who have. I booked the Rusty Lantern and also surprised my wife by inviting a few of her best friends to stay for the weekend. Not only was she surprised, but she fell in love with the cabin and the layout of the cabin. It was perfect for the 5 of us and the covered wraparound porch with hot tub was perfect to enjoy while it was raining for most
