We had a wonderful time. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was EXCELLENT. The owner even went out and got hot chocolate for us. I would highly recommend this BB. The owner gave us pointers on the state park which were helpful.

Primrose Garden
We stayed at the Primrose House BB in the Garden Room which is located on the first floor in the front of the house. The room was spacious with a deep soaker tub, and the bed was very comfortable. Loved it! Jennifer made and served our breakfasts with loving care, and the conversations with everyone were warm. The Primrose House BB was close to everything! Our activities included the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway in Nelsonville which was very quaint, providing a history lesson along with a stop at Hocking Colleges Robins Crossing historic village. We also took a canoe trip down the Hocking River. Heres a tip - as a guest of 1st Choice Lodging Company you can rent outdoor adventures at a 10 discount here https//adventureprooutdoors.com We caught some small mouth bass, and a few got away. Dang it! We visited Old mans cave and the upper falls at Hocking Hills State Park - beautiful! We also poked around Spring Street Antique Mall in Rockbridge, and drove around taking in the scenery. Thank You Jennifer and Bernie for such wonderful memories!

Also needed to get key several blocks from the property, Drawback is Nelsonville is a rundown town and the few stores were closed when we got there. Works for hikers who go to the nearby state park. We will stay in Athens, Ohio next time for more Id a college town feel.

Our stay in the Primrose Garden Suite exceeded our expectations, and we would be delighted to stay again sometime. The bed was quite comfortable. The suite was spacious with interesting unique design features. The photos did not do it justice - it's really a terrific room. Breakfasts were hearty and delicious, and provided ample energy for an athletic morning and afternoon adventure. The other guests and our hosts were sociable and made for great breakfast conversation. Nearby, I would recommend checking out Jackie O's in Athens and High Rock Adventures north of Logan. Really a wonderful getaway weekend overall.
