Kids loved the pool, adults loved sitting on the giant back porch, enough room for everyone. We will most likely return for another family getaway.
Pros - plenty of space for people to spread out, 2 ovens to accommodate for cooking with large groups, plenty of kitchen appliances and utensils (2 coffee pots, multiple crock pots), plenty of seating throughout, beds were comfortable with good mattresses, pool area was perfect to keep the kids entertained. Cons - basement is poorly insulated and was so cold (thank goodness bedroom has a heater and a door), only 1 refrigerator. Cabin was surface clean, but could use a good deep cleaning.
So much room to pread out here. The location is excellent, very close to many places we wnted to visit. The kids really enjoyed the pool. We cooked many dinners here and the kitchen is very well stocked with evrything you nedd to cook

Our entire family of our kids, their spouses and all grandchildren gathered for our 80th birthday celebration for long weekend in late June. Southern Belle Lodge created the perfect place - plenty of room, the pool, the yard, the porch and the living spaces, The staff was very good to work with and attentive to our requests. We highly recommend this SBL for a family get-together!! Sitting around the roomy firepit in the evening sharing and enjoyable conversation was great!!! Wonderful!!!
Bedrooms were in areas to keep families together. Two large dining areas, one inside and one outside. Great green space for activities.
The house was great and had enough room to fit our family it was clean and had plenty to keep the kids busy because it was too cold to be outside
Even though it was too wet and cold to do anything outside, the heated pool and hot tub kept the grandkids entertained and the parents relaxed. The big open space provided lots a room play games, watch old home videos and just chat with one another. Plenty of bedroom space and bathroom to take care of our needs for 19 people. Kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need to prepare and cook for a large group and the setting was breathtaking! My family wants to make this every year!
We love the entire house, however the pool was a hit for the entire family!!
The large dining and living area off the kitchen and the outdoor fireplace. didn't like the no dryer or towel racks or hooks anywhere.
Our family, consisting of 9 adults and 6 children, celebrated many events this past weekend including Thanksgiving, 40th Wedding Anniversary, and a birthday. It was also a family healing time after the sudden loss of our daughter-in-law this past August.
