Rented 3 cabins for a family gathering. My husband and I stayed in the Lake Cabin which was clean and as stated with cookware enough to prepare breakfast and light meals although no measuring cups/spoons. Check the hot tub when you arrive as it was set on 80 degrees when I went to get in so I went for a swim in the lake instead. There was no swim platform but the cape cod dock was far enough out to not have to worry about the mucky bottom. Lots of fish to catch... my nephews had a blast.

The cabin was very clean and the kitchen is well-stocked with cooking utensils. The owner stopped by and was kind and easy to work with. I was worried after reading other reviews but there was nothing to worry about EXCEPT the hot tub is way over-chlorinated. I opened the cover and my eyes and nose stung from the chlorine. I was only able to spend about ten minutes in the tub and my eyes/face stung for a while after. It's an older cabin, but it's very clean and neat.

We couldn't have been more happy with our stay. I had stayed here 6 to 7 years ago with my family when I was younger and it's just as amazing as I remember. Was looking for that experience where we could disconnect if we wanted, but still not be too far from the parks. The cabin was clean and well kept when we arrived. Everything we needed to know was on the coffee table and it was the perfect place for 2 people stay. Definitely plan to come for years to come as we want this to be a yearly trip!

I enjoyed there were no bugs except lightening bugs. I loved our canoe, hot tub was very nice, very secluded, nice walking area around pond for dogs. Dogs had a blast and the hose around back made it easy to rinse them off before coming in the house. Fire pit only had a bench, so needed chairs. Kitchen is small, fully stocked and useful. Our family will be back.

My husband I stayed here for our 1 year anniversary. It was definitely clean and very cozy out in the woods. I would recommend if you go make sure your vehicle is 4 wheel drive it's very steep going up and down to get to the cabin. Thankfully we have a truck it was handy going up and down. Unfortunately, the rain didn't allow us to see any of the caves. But we checked out the downtown area and ate at the local diners. The hot tub was very clean and nice. We enjoyed it. Definitely will be back.

I always remember, each time we visit, the peace and tranquility. Weve visited many many times between 2008 and 2022 and will always want to come back. I recommend all the time but then I worry that I am making my secret gem too public and I wont be able to reserve a cabin as it will be booked! Never the case, no matter when I book I can always find availability on the times we want. I thought the website was mostly accurate. The platform in the middle of the lake is now gone and the fountains are oneven better! Everything else seems accurate, the phone isnt there but from what I hear a phone line cannot be placed. The customer service is exemplary. I always receive an email or even a couple about a week before asking if we need anything special for our visit, truly making you feel special. As far as cleanliness??? As soon as you walk in thats your first thought. How clean and fresh it seems! Cabin, hot tub, beautiful. I got to meet the cleaning lady and shes wonderful, efficient and cares. A big thing to remember is you are off grid. No phone whatsoever. But there are plenty of things to do. Fishingand we always catch bass or bluegill, goos sized too. Hiking, curling up by the lake and reading a book or on your deck. We even went into town, Home Bar, and watched our Buckeyes beat Wisconsin! We checked out the brand new Hocking Hills Lodge that just opened as well. We plan on staying there for a couple nights in the near future as well. Also, there are always lil journals sitting in each cabin for all visitors to write in, something I have done every year weve visited. I will say, yes they allow pets. Which we brought ours as usual, but our dog doesnt like to be out of the water especially when we are tossing our lines inso sadly we wont bring our dog anymore, plus he got an ear infection and pierced by thorns a few times just on the outside of the lake where the cattails were. He was a mess when we got homeand is steal healing. We visited in Sept. 2022. T

We stayed at Lake Cottage in September and absolutely loved it! It was perfect for the two of us and had everything we needed for a quiet getaway to relax and unwind.I did not miss technology or TV at all! The setting is just beautiful, and we had the entire place to ourselvesno one else was there! I cant wait to go back!

My wife and I spent four nights at the lake side cabin with our dog Molly. Very relaxing with no phone coverage or internet to worry about. We were able to spend some time fishing and caught and released a large number of blue gill, didn't catch any bass. We went hiking in the morning and enjoyed many different trails. This was the second stay, but first time in the Lake Cabin. Nothing refills our energy and happiness like the cabins. It is so peaceful being away from the internet and cell service. The hot tub was clean and up to temp, the rooms were clean as well. We will be back within the next 6 months to refresh ourselves again!

This was our second visit to the Lake cottage in nine months. In spite of the rainy weather we had a wonderfully relaxing time. Even hooked a nice bass! I am most impressed with the service commitment of management! First of all, they graciously allowed us to change our reservation on short notice. And then, when arrived, we realized that we failed to transfer the firewood order with the change. The owner ran to town at least a half hour trip to get us firewood and linens that we had forgotten!

Its nice to see so much love and commitment going into this beautiful property!

Cabin was secluded and maintained beyond my expectations. I will definitely be returning here. Beautiful view of the lake. Quiet and peaceful.
