Beautiful cabin, comfortable beds lot room for the family
Really liked sitting around the fire pit in the evening & playing pool after hiking all day. Cabin is in a great location close to about anything. Making plans for a fall stay. Thank u guys for your hospitality

Easy check in. Everything you need in the kitchen. The whirlpool tub jets did not work. Takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the Town of Logan for shopping, activities, and restaurants.

The cabin was fantastic. Very gorgeous, clean and spacious. The area was very beautiful and serene. There was a lot to do in the area, but my biggest enjoyment was just relaxing and visiting with friends and family on the front porch.

The binder and other literature were packed with good, precise information, making it easy to find trails and other sites within Hocking Hill. Very enjoyable visit
Cabin is well stocked, all dishes, etc. as needed. Main floor bathroom sink does need a stopper/drain filter thing in it. Otherwise, it was as expected and will come back next year. Thanks. Basement is a bit cool, perhaps I did not know about heat down there. We did stay/sleep on main floor.

This is a huge comfy cabin inviting you to relax.
The Sherpa blanket and chaise were so comfortable and allowed for lots of early morning tea by the fire. We hiked in the nearby parks. We enjoyed the modern convenience instead of cooking outside in the cold. Finally we played lots of pool and foosball.

The cabin is attractive and well maintained. If I get a permit from the state in advance, one nature preserve is next door and another about a half mile away.

Preserve Cabin - Great Get Away!
Great cabin with lots of room and amenities. We were a larger group, but there were several different areas to gather. Loved the view of the nature preserve from the front porch with lots of seating. Easy access to hiking as it was centrally located. This was the perfect setting for a getaway with family and friends - highly recommend.

A great place to make memories!
We rented both the Creekside and the Cabin at the Preserves for a family reunion. It was perfect!!! We planned on hiking and exploring the natural preserves surrounding us, but the layout of the cabins, fire-pit area, porch, pool tables and board/card games made it too perfect for the family to create memories and catch up...no one wanted to leave...

Which is not ideal for larger groups. I also would recommend all wheel or 4 wheel in winter months if snow or ice is expected. The driveway is steeper than appears. Also the basement is much cooler in the winter than the rest of the house, so if you are cold sensitive, plan accordingly.

We enjoyed 3 1/2 days at "The Preserve," located on Hockman Road, just a few miles from Hocking Hills State Park. The cabin is SO conveniently located to the park and several other nature preserves. It is in a lovely setting, surrounded by woods and hills. The cabin is very clean with lots of amenities (pool table, foosball table, fire pit, large outdoor porch with table, etc.). It is extremely comfortable and has that "home" feel. My only real issues are that the layout is a bit strange, particularly in regards to the bathrooms. None are directly connected to the bedrooms, and there is none at all upstairs. This means that people sleeping upstairs will have to go downstairs to use the bathroom. The main floor bathroom is directly connected to the kitchen, which is a bit odd. Still, this place is wonderful, and the hosts are friendly and helpful.

The cabin was perfectly positioned for easy access to all the main Hocking Hills attractions and other "gems" like the Salt Petre Preserve. This was a fun adventure all-around for myself, my husband and two boys (14 & 12) and my parents. The cabin had plenty of space for us all to feel very comfortable. My boys asked "Mom, why can't we live in a place like this?". We will not look elsewhere the next time we go to Hocking Hills.

We planned on hiking and exploring the natural preserves surrounding us, but the layout of the cabins, fire-pit area, porch, pool tables and board/card games made it too perfect for the family to create memories and catch up...no one wanted to leave the cabins, more importantly, each other. I would definitely go back and recommend to others. Although no one was able to get phone service from the cabins, we could walk up the hill about 100 yards and get connected. It was nice having everyone unplugged and in tune with each other for a whole weekend. Even the kids and young adults learned they loved it too, surprisingly.
