Great stay!
We greatly enjoyed our long weekend stay at Double Pine! It was so charming and we loved the location in the woods! My only recommendation would be to fix a few minor things in the cabin - tighten toilet seat in basement, replace burnt out lightbulbs in outdoor lighting, unclog basement tub drain. Our family loved our stay and will be back!

The accommodations were top-notch; clean & comfy, we'd definitely stay there again!
The lodge was esthetically spectacular. Although in a beautiful wooded setting, we never saw bugs or evidence of them (webs) in the living areas. We enjoyed the wrap-around porch & it kept kids entertained as they 'traveled' it. We did bring some of our own kitchen items but we truly never needed them as everything was well-stocked & very clean....

Our short family getaway was FANTASTIC!!
We enjoyed everything about our stay in the Double Pine Lodge. The lodge was roomy, clean & well equipped. We had a great mini-vacation & wished we would have booked another night.

This was all about family and spending time together.
The sleeping arrangements worked well; kitchen was adequate, deck was much used by our family. Overall a wonderful vacation spot.

WONDERFUL
The location, the space for everyone, the fact that it had just about everything you needed to cook a meal (pots, pans, silverware, plates, bowls, cups) highly recommend this particular cabin (as we don't know about the others) It was easy to book and the email was simple to follow with directions right to the cabin :-)

Overall a nice place to stay. However there was an infestation of bats (they made lots of noise at night) & the hot tub controls were worn off( buttons were pressed until it worked). We thought the noise & numerous droppings (inside top floor & outside deck below)were due to mice but were told it was bats & that they weren't there when we checked...

Perfect remote location and beautiful large cabin for large group.
We loved the cabin and the location in the woods. Sitting on the porch listening to the birds in the morning was my favorite part. Although it wasn't an issue, I wish the listing was more transparent. There was no Wi-Fi or cell service, dishwasher or garbage disposal. we were fine without those things but I would have liked to have known this...

DPL is close to sites, clean/spacious enough for large family, and with large private rear deck.
DPL was easy drive to Old Man's Cave and other sites. Bedrooms were well suited to our group. Kids especially enjoyed the bunk room with pool table. Parents enjoyed private bedrooms on same level with kids. Grandparents and older family appreciated bedrooms on main level. Spacious outdoor deck was where we spent most of our non-hiking time.

My family and I had a wonderful experience in Hocking Hills at the Double Pine Lodge.
We loved the spacious accommodations and the close access to the state park hiking trails.

I was lovely however there were some disappointments.
The Cabin was amazing with the exception of the amount of Bird feces on the top of the Hot Tub so we spent the first hour scrubbing it ourselves. The kitchen was not equipped with any baking dishes nor large bowls which we have had at many other locations in HH. The biggest issue was the noise coming from two other cabins located behind and next...

Rustic cabin was great for friend getaway
We liked the spaciousness of the cabin, easily fit 9 adults and one child. Hot tub was nice. Fireplace was a great bonus. Close to hiking as well.

Pleasant stay and very enjoyable
We had a very pleasant stay. The cabin was just as described. Roomy and enjoyable. Also somehow we accidently put the hot tub in sleep mode so the temperature dropped. Called the main number and before we even did what they said, maintenance was there and reset it for us.

Overall a nice place to stay. However there was an infestation of bats (they made lots of noise at night) & the hot tub controls were worn off( buttons were pressed until it worked). We thought the noise & numerous droppings (inside top floor & outside deck below)were due to mice but were told it was bats & that they weren't there when we checked in (housekeeping didn't report it). Bats had to be there for awhile based on the noise level and the numerous feces.No one available after hours to fix
