A Fabulous Weekend for Four!
My husband, brother, sister-in-law and I spent a late October weekend Friday and Saturday nights at Cook's Creek Cabin and had a wonderful time! Although it rained most of the weekend and we didn't get out to hike much, we loved sitting by a warm fireplace, making food, and playing games - the cabin was the perfect setting for it. It was a little awkward that the only bathroom was through one of the bedrooms, but since we're all so close, it didn't matter much to us. The floors were also pretty creaky, especially for the two sleeping up in the loft, but it led to lots of laughs from all of us. The beds were reasonably comfortable with room for all four adults. The charcoal grill was VERY nice, and the hot tub was wonderful, even in the rain. We did make an outdoor bonfire Saturday night, and the pit and chairs were a great, cozy set-up. Overall, we loved how secluded and wooded the area was, and we still felt super safe the entire time. The internet was spotty we weren't there for it anyways!, and we could have used a cutting board and a few mixing/cooking sized bowls in the kitchen pack them!, but otherwise, we loved every bit of our stay. Thanks for a fun weekend away without the kiddos!
