We love the country farm house feel. There was plenty of room for our family of 6. The hotub was clean & hot. Everything was spotless, even the decorations had been dusted. The only downfall was we had no cell service without internet & the wifi cut in & out while we were there, but they had just storms come through, so I don't think that was something they could fix. The girls who checked us in & out were so sweet & welcoming. I made sure to take a card so I have their number to book again.
Nice warm old farm house with plenty of room!
I loved the location of our place and the feel of the cozy house. There was plenty of room for my family yet we all sat together on the coach. Plus, we were able to bring our dog. It was a great vacation
Exploring the Hocking Hills region
Myself and 4 other hunters stayed on Laurel Run tavern. All of the accommodations definitely over met my expectations. If I head that direction again I will be running from tthem.
I chose Nelsonville because of its close proximity to Ohio University where my son is a freshman. A few of us mom's came up from Cincinnati to visit for "mom's weekend" relaxing and catching up with our kids. This house was perfect! Our kids joined us from campus, we had dinner and breakfast at the house, the kitchen had everything we needed. It was a perfect house to relax, we used the hot tub then the electric fireplace...we were able to play music with the comfort that there weren't close
We enjoyed the comfort and convenience the place offered. Excellent setup. Hopefully we will revisit sometime.
What a fantastic place to stay! Plenty of room for the family, clean, conveniently located. There were so many surprise amenities....that we were in awe! Would definitely return and stay here....already have given the link to friends who want to go now! The family room was the hub but if you wanted to get some quiet time...there was space for that too!
This little farmhouse was the perfect little getaway house for us. It had everything we needed (and extras), the decor was super cute, it was clean and cozy. Outside has a huge yard, fire pit, and a hot tub. It's about a 20 minute drive to all of the hocking hills attractions and priced accordingly. Anything closer is bound to be double.
Our family had a great stay at Laurel Run. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The house was clean. Firepit was accessible and wood available. The yard was large enough for the children to play. It was close enough to Lake Hope that we were able to hike and swim there. The only limitation was having just one bath for 7 people, but we were able to adjust. It was great fun!
The renovated farmhouse was inviting and clean. The furniture and beds were comfortable. Amenities met our expectations. Hot tub was a nice touch. Weather was mid 90's and the house stayed nice and cool.

Nice big tv and comfy couch to relax on after our all day hunts. Overall impressed for the price we paid and will certainly be back for next season!
Laurel Run Farmhouse is a wonderful getaway for any occasion. The home has been completely remodeled and is very charming. The farmhouse was extremely clean and the amenities offered were terrific. Plenty of seating both inside and out. We enjoyed our visit and would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a place to stay.
This place was great! We found everything as it was in the online pictures. It is very clean and we had everything we needed for our stay. The location is nice- good property area and plenty of room, but still near enough to other places so you don't feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. We will visit again next year!
What a wonderful place to stay! Very clean! Had enough towels and washrag without having to wash. Very well stocked with pots and pans utensils had everything you could need! While sitting on the front porch many people drive by and waved, nice community.Would definitely recommend 1st choice cabin rentals for anyone who would like a nice place to stay in the Hocking hills region. The furniture was clean and very comfortable including the bedrooms that each had small televisions including a large tv in the family room that was perfect to watch march madness basketball. We were all very pleased and look forward to a visit back soon.
