Tour de Forest Benefit Bicycle Ride

8:00 am - 10:00 am - Beginning and ending at Hocking College Student Center. 11:30am - 3:00pm lunch.

12th Annual Little Cities Tour de Forest Benefit Bicycle Ride will take riders on various routes through the forested hills of southeastern Ohio on both level and more challenging courses. A gravel route was added last year and was well received and will be available again this year. Included in registration is a Tour de Forest T-Shirt and a start your ride Home made Granola Bar from Fullbrooks Cafe on Nelsonvilles Historic Public Square. A hearty complimentary lunch will be served upon return at the Student Center between 11:30amd and 3:00pm. This is a non-competitive ride that raises funds for the Little Cities of Black Diamonds Council which is committed to gathering, protecting and sharing the heritage, cultural and environmental assets of this boom-to-bust coal mining region that is now home to the Wayne National Forest.

Please note that helmets are required on this ride.

Once again we are offering group registration which provides a reduced registration rate and special perks. Again this year riders have access to the Student Recreation Centers facilities, including showers, pool, climbing wall and disc golf.

Registration for this years ride is $30 for adults and $20 for youth (6-17 years). Registration for groups/teams of 5 or more riders will be $25/rider and $15/rider for youth. Riders can choose from three paved routes of various distances (a 75 mile -metric century- route, a 30 mile -mining town- route or a 20 mile bikeway route), a 54 mile gravel route and a family friendly and safe -set your own distance- ride on the Adena Hock-Hocking Bikeway, which runs in front of the Student Rec Center.

Non-rider recreation passes are available for $10 for those who wish to attend the event but choose not ride. Rec passes include the complimentary lunch and access to the Hocking College Rec Center and use of the climbing wall, pool, indoor track, and disc golf course. They do not include a t-shirt or morning granola bars.

Departure is recommended between 8am and 10am. Departure times are the choice of the rider and should be calculated to insure return in time for lunch between 11:30AM and 3pm.
