The attention to detail both inside and outside the lodge was exceptional. Everything from the furnishings to the grounds and beyond are so well thought out. I can't imagine. the work involved to get it completed and keep it working properly. We met the owner and hearing some details were an extra bonus. I highly recommend this location.
Everything is set up fantastic. The decor on the inside and the scenery on the outside! The smoker grill worked fantastic and there was plenty of kitchen supplies for cooking. The communication was a bit bumpy texting and emailing weren't effective calling was the best way to get a response. But always did get an answer when I called so still giving that max ratings.
The cabin was so beautiful and so much room for all of us. Very peaceful
We loved the peace and privacy. All the appliances are high quality2 laundry rooms, smoker grill, all great. Only thing missing was either closet poles or hooks to hang clothing. The grade of the road up to the building and down to the water is challenging (very steep): possibly need a path down to the water. We loved the whole experience and achieved many happy memories.
My kids loved the pond, they spent all day floating around. I loved the large kitchen and amenities in the cabin. We will definitely come back.
We were celebrating our son's 30th birthday: 6 adults (parents, adult children) and 3 young grandchildren. The cabin was plenty roomy and would have accommodated the extra 2 adults who had to cancel at the last minute. It was very nicely furnished - everything seemed fairly new and it was very clean. Beds were comfortable. The game tables were a huge hit with the young kids. The location was very beautiful, especially with fall colors. Loved the pond too.
Wonderful to stay in such a beautiful location and beautiful accommodations
We took a girls trip to do some hiking at Hocking Hills State Park over the weekend and this place is perfect wish we would have stayed longer and will definitely be back.
Perfect! Something to do for all ages (7-71 years young). Pond for swimming, fishing, and racing RC boats. Space to play corn hole, kan jam, throw football and baseball. Relax in the hot tub or inside on the comfortable couch or sectional after canoeing and hiking. Big table for inside games and eating. Well equipped kitchen with a large refrigerator, two coffee makers and two toasters were much appreciated. Outside was a nice, new smoker grill that was perfect for out brisket!
Kodiak Lodge was well worth the money. It was a very unique cabin, though cabin makes it sound small, and Kodiak Lodge was NOT small! It was gorgeous, from the canoe with the animals (my favorite thing!), the bear, the furnishings, and all the small details throughout the house. The hot tub was great, the swimming pond was the perfect way to cool off after all the hiking, and the game room was fun!
