These beautiful birds show up at Lake Logan every once in a while, and I felt fortunate to show up at the same time. It was early morning and the water was calm. I love reflections!
I rarely am out here when there is sunshine-it makes it very tricky to shoot because of the pronounced shadows.Standing on the bridge at Devils Bathtub.
I'm always striving to get just the shot I want - no I haven't made it yet, but if you don't get out there, it will never happen. This is however, a cool shot.
High Dynamic Range, 3 shots blended to balance the highlights and shadows. Sometimes it looks too garish for my liking. I want my shots to look the way we view them and I don't use this technique anymore.
Also known as Chapel Cave, along the horse trails West of Conkles Hollow. A horse thief hid his bounty here, and when the law caught up with him they counted 21 horses, so the story goes.
My dentist told me about Airplane Rock quite a few years ago. Not somewhere you will just run across. E-mail me and I'll tell you how I get there. Contact is on my website.
Literally a drive by shooting however I did step out of the van to shoot this. I cropped this into a panoramic and have had a lot of sales on this shot.

I had to drive by The Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, Nelsonville, and thought the snow gave it a whole different atmosphere. Not many train riders THIS day
These robbers were growing a little impatient, so to help pass the time they allowed me to fire one of the pistols. Very neat! Hocking Valley Scenic RR.

I used a 500 MM mirror lens, I had to crop it a lot, it was totally over-exposed, but i'm just glad I was able to get one. Shot from the berm of Rt. 33 near Rt. 328.

This is my wife's favorite swan photo. It was great fun watching these swans grow, and seeing moma swan teach these young ones how to fend for themselves.
I just happened to come across this old church while driving one day. The sign above the door reads The Gospel Center. If walls could talk! Infra-Red effect in post processing.
I stopped when I saw a man doing maintenance on the old barn and he told me I could go in anytime to shoot. A couple of mornings later.....I threw straw into the air for effect. A genuine Sears barn that was railed into the area.
Near Bremen. I always try to respect the Amish conviction about having photographs taken of them and try not to get thier face unless they're OK with it.

While waiting on the sunset at Lake Logan one summer evening I couldn't pass up the opportunity to snap this shot of two children admiring the scene around them.
