Old Man Canoe Livery offers quality canoe and Kayak trips on the scenic Hocking River.

The water is of excellent quality for swimming or fishing. The Hocking River is a class 1 river. It is ideal for beginning and experienced canoeists.

We are the most northern of the local canoe liveries, and we limit the number of trips, making our tours more secluded and private. This means more nature and less river congestion.

A trip down the Hocking River is sure to be the most cherished memory of your visit to the Hocking Hills.
Trips range from one to six hours in length. We also offer overnight accommodations. We are open year round from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

We are smaller and therefore more flexible. We personalize all of our trips to ensure your complete satisfaction.

The last trip departs at 4 p.m. All trips end at your car.
We offer family and group discounts. We specialize in family, corporate, school, church, and scout groups.

We also offer a dining area that can accommodate large groups and parties. We can plan a pizza party or provide picnic lunches to our guests. We also make great subs, hoagies, chicken wings, and salads.

DIRECTIONS:
From Columbus: Take Route 33 South East through Lancaster. After  you enter Hocking County, turn Left into Rockbridge, County Road 10

From Athens: Take 33 North West. Turn Right into Rockbridge, County Road 10. We are located just past Lake Logan and SR 180.

  • Wear your life vest at all times
  • Keep your shoes on to avoid injury
  • Do not trespass
  • No glass or Styrofoam containers
  • Know your destination
  • Be prepared for the weather with raingear, a hat, a change of clothes, sunscreen etc.
  • Allow enough time for your trip
  • Do not litter
  • Waterproof all personal belongings
  • Secure your keys to your person or leave them at your vehicle
