Co-starring Edna Purviance, Charlie takes to the road, falls in love with the farmers daughter, becomes a farmhand, and foils a plot by dastardly hoboes to rob the farmer. 36 minutes. This film, with its mixture of comedy, pathos, and classic slapstick, is considered Chaplins first masterpiece. Come and view films related to current exhibitions and the permanent collection, and have an opportunity to view the exhibitions and discuss with museum staff. Light refreshments served.
