10am-4pm Tue-Sat. Textiles soften the hard edges of our world and serve to identify us. They allow us to decorate our homes and our bodies. They are often an expression of our artistic visions and our social relationships. This exhibition points up the great variety of materials, colors, techniques and uses around the world. Included are items from Africa, Asia, the Americas and Europe. Some of these fabrics have great visual impact when seen from a distance, others are a tour-de-force of detail and complicated structure.
