History underfoot - 2013 Cemetery History Walk

MAY
19
2pm and 4pm. The Fairfield Heritage Association is shifting their cemetery walk from late October to mid-May in hope of exchanging cold, rainy weather for something better. This year the event will be held in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Rushville, where costumed re-enactors will tell the stories of early settler as well as some of the people involved in the Underground Railroad. Among those portrayed will be Joe Selby, James Morrow, Dr. Simon and Ann Hyde as well as Samuel Miller. Loretta Duffy will also share the history of Rushville and the cemetery. FHA thanks Morgan Funeral Home for their support of this program.
