Jun 25, 2010 730 pm. A select group of 40 members of the All Ohio Youth Choir from throughout the State of Ohio - the Cardinal Chorale - will present an evening concert at The First Presbyterian Church. This is a first appearance of the Cardinal Chorale in Hocking County. The Cardinal Chorale was organized in 1995 by Charles R. Snyder, who also conducts the group. In the fifteen years it has been traveling, the Chorale has logged an amazing number of miles and concerts. A performance for the Fred Waring Elderhostel Chorus in the summer of 1999 led to an invitation to join alumni of Fred Waring's Pennsylvanians in June, 2000, for an emotional concert at Penn State celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Waring. The group sang by invitation of the Governor for Ohio's September 11 observance at the Statehouse in 2002. The Choir sang at the prestigious Lakeside Concert Series in 2000, 2002, 2005, and 2008. The Chorale's 2010 summer tour will take it to McArthur, Logan, Jamestown, Zanesville, Columbus, Lebanon, Cincinnati, Worthington, and Roscoe Village. An offering to help cover tour expenses will be received.
