Feb 21, 2009 Few people probably know that Ohio's native owls begin their nesting season as early as February. To celebrate this and to provide an opportunity to learn more about our native owls, Lake Snowden and Hocking College will host a Winter Owl Walk. It will be held on Saturday, February 21 at 730 pm at the Sauber Center at Lake Snowden Education and Recreational Park, Albany Ohio. We will begin the evening with an indoor program to introduce the participants to native Ohio owls, their habitat and life histories. We will then go outside to attempt to call owls and perhaps see some. Everyone should dress for the weather and walking. The evening will conclude with a question and answer session and some hot chocolate. We hope to see you there. Cost: Free Phone: 740-698-6373 | Outdoor Activity
