Festival of Trees

1-9 pm. House opens at 1. Festivities start at 4 pm, when youngsters can participate in a Creating Christmas Crafts session at the Bowen House. They'll be able to create a Christmas ornament from 4-5 pm, then hop on the Washboard Music Festival Train to deliver and hang their ornament on the Christmas Tree at Worthington Park. The train will run from 430 to 630 pm. The youngsters may then return to the Bowen House to enjoy some hot chocolate and listen to a Christmas story read by Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will also participate in photo sessions with the children. The official opening reception for the Festival of Trees will begin at 630 pm with music provided by the Hocking County Children's Chorus beginning at 7 pm. Beautifully decorated Christmas trees are on display throughout the historic Bowen House. Trees are decorated by various community organizations. Special evening hours will occur each Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8 pm. The Bowen House will be closed on Dec 24th and 25th.
