The Athens International Film + Video Festival is celebrating its 37th year of bringing international films and guest media artists from around the world to Athens, Ohio. The Festival is sponsored by the Athens Center for Film and Video, a project of the College of Fine Arts at Ohio University. Guest jurors will award cash prizes in four categories: documentary, experimental, narrative, and animation. Awards will be announced on the final day of the Festival. Stuart's Opera House in Nelsonville is once again hosting a night of films on the opening night of the Festival. There are 12 feature Films and 56 Competition Screenings.
